Welcome to 2012 , San Pedro Creek Homeowners

NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS
San Pedro Creek Estates has a new Board of Directors. We thank Paul Davis and Bruce Frederick for their highly informative presentations at the Annual Meeting and at our March Board of Directors meeting. The next Board meeting will be April 18, 6:30 PM at La Madera VFD.

COMMUNITY SHARING
Do you miss those periodic notices of what's happening in San Pedro Creek? Stay tuned for a message from our new Community Sharing volunteer.

A Note From The ACC

While construction was relatively slow this past year, this spring will bring some new activity to our subdivision.  Residents should be aware of the possibility of encountering additional heavy vehicle traffic particularly on the major access roads within SPCE.  In addition, and although we may have a natural curiosity to see what is being built, all are reminded that construction sites can be dangerous and that each site is personal property.  Entry onto these properties should not be made without the explicit permission of the owner(s).  Thank you for these considerations.

FIRE Preparedness

Fire Chief Joe Gober warns that the dry, windy fire season is upon us. Be aware of Red Flag protocols. Make sure both your home and cell phone numbers are registered with Sandoval County Code Red to receive notification in the event of an emergency.

Please advise any workers on your property that not only is smoking on your property prohibited, but throwing butts out of vehicle windows presents an extreme danger of setting a fire.

You should always have a "fire kit" of your most precious belongings and important papers packed and ready to go, as well as providing for pets. Consider scanning important documents and storing them in your computer and in the cloud.

Defensible Space
In the event of a wildfire, having defensible space around your home will reduce the risk of losing it. Ciudad Soil and Water Conservation District offers a valuable program by which you can have your home evaluated and, should you decide to do so, have dense trees thinned out around your home. Ciudad SWCD pays 50% of the cost. Many residents of SPCE and Paako have taken advantage of this excellent program.
